The Association is open to any resident of the local community or member/adherant of the Church of Scotland.

The recreational element consists of games such as carpet bowls, darts, putting, dominoes, snooker and pool.

Competitions in each of these games are held, the winners being awarded much saught after trophies.

There is also an Annual open night when other organisations within the church are invited to participate.

There are exchange visits with other Church Men’s Groups in the area and we also have an exchange visit with Erskine Hospital each year.

Our outreach consists of an annual Quiz Night when funds are raised in support of Erskine.

We also hold a coffee morning each year as a contribution to Church Funds as well as being part of the weekly Sunday coffee lounge rota which raises funds for Christian Aid.

Prayer Group

The Prayer Group meets four times a year

  • September – a time of rededication for the year ahead
  • December – Advent
  • April – Christian Passover
  • June – walk around the church stopping at different areas for prayers, readings and meditations.

The group is very ecumenical and includes many people from other local branches of the Christian church. At the meetings there are quiet times, periods when we can name those in need of our prayers and an opportunity to be prayed for, on an individual basis, by Shelia.

The meetings always end with tea/coffee and home baking and of course friendly fellowship.
